The Ruins (Talisay, Negros Occidental)

This ancestral mansion is founded on several tragic events including the death of the owner’s wife, as well as burning down of the structure during World War II to prevent the Japanese from using this as their headquarters. The structure remains intact despite three days of fire among other forces that could have ruined a substandard structure completely.

San Agustin Church, Manila

A marvel within a marvel, San Agustin Church is a Baroque stone building tagged as the oldest religious building in the country.  This UNESCO World Heritage Site that was built between 1587 and 1606 is situated in the Walled City in Manila that will leave you in awe. This marvel has withstood several earthquakes and natural calamities.

Intramuros, Manila

If the walls could speak, centuries of history would be told.  More than the aesthetics of the ancient walls, Intramuros played a big role during Spanish rule.   Intramuros is home to several churches and used to be the center of education as Philippine universities and colleges were situated within the walls.  University of Santo Tomas and Ateneo de Manila later on transferred to their modern-day structures.

Calle Crisologo, Vigan

If you are looking for a dramatic street that will take you back to old world charm, Calle Crisologo Street is the place to be! A walk at the cobblestone streets will feed your eyes with wonders gleaned through the rustic mansions, wooden doors, and overall vibe.

Cultural Center of the Philippines

This paradise for lovers of the different art forms has witnessed many historical events.  This masterpiece was designed by National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin among other structures within the CCP Complex.

Malacañang Palace

Representative of modest grandiose, the official residence of the Philippine president has undergone several major renovations to keep its charm.  Several halls, several buildings, a vast garden and decades of history make the Palace one of the wonders of architecture.
